West Bay is considered to be the land located directly north of George Town. West Bay is Grand Cayman's second best developed region offering a lot of adventures for tourists. There are two hotels offering world-class spas, both on Seven Mile Beach named the Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman and the Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa. The last one is named after the unique Casuarinas Trees that are without doubt one of the characteristics of Grand Cayman. This narrow land strip is dotted with resorts and hotels on one side and the Grand Cayman Yacht club and Governors Harbour on the other.

On its northwestern tip is a selection of short black limestone formations which have received the name Hell, probably after some local spokesman who said that this is how hell probably looks like. Hell has become popular and can be extremely crowded, especially because most cruise ships stop by to visit it. Several tourist shops have emerged selling everything from devil images to t-shirts with Satanist text on it. Another attraction nearby Boatswain Beach is the Cayman Turtle Farm where green sea turtles are bred, raised and released out in the wild. It is also the place where many turtles are prepared for the food market here and abroad. More to the northeast you will find Barkers, Conch Point, Double Head, North Sound and the to divers famous northern wall.

West Bay is a paradise where you can enjoy some excellent meals, walk across the powder-white sand and take a dip in the warm crystal clear blue waters offered by the Cayman Islands. You can access several great dive sites off its steep northern wall or enjoy the world famous dive site Stingray City which is an experience unlike any other in the world.
