The more eastward you go on Grand Cayman, the quieter it gets. The biggest towns west of George Town are Savannah, Bodden Town and some other small communities along the southern coast. You can soak up some history at the Pedro St. James Historic Site in Savannah. Or indulge in an excellent a la carte meal in Bodden Town.

One of the best hiking trails is the National Trust's Mastic Trail, a two mile long footpath through unspoiled woodlands in the North Side. Another highlight is Rum Point on the other side of West Bay connected by the spectacular northern wall. Here you can relax on the beach, view beautiful sunsets and enjoy some of the best seafood.

Diving the east side of the northern wall near Rum Point is without doubt the best diving spots on this part of Grand Cayman. Sights such as Eagle Ray Pass, White Stroke Canyon and Roberts Wall are some well known areas. You can also dive south of Bodden Town but these are considerably less interesting than its northern brothers.
